One Hundred Hungry Ants - Elinor J. Pinczes
|
One hundred hungry ants are marching, single file, towards their picnic where they hope to enjoy a number of tasty treats.
The smallest ant uses math to deduce that they will reach the picnic quicker if they march in two lines he reorganizes the group. He reorganizes again when he rethinks he strategy and decides they will get there quicker if they march in rows of three, and so on.
While the ant's maths is correct, his frequent stopping to rearrange the group slows things down so much that they miss their picnic.
Beautifully colored illustrations compliment the easy reading, rhyming text. |
